Cut deep

I see it flash quickly before my eyes

I try not to listen to any of its lies

It keeps lying "I'll do you no harm"

I admit, it does feel good blood running down my arm

I can see it in my head the blade going in

The feelings of pain as it slices my skin

But what would happen if I went to far

I don't do this to die, just for the pain and scar

One day if I'm not careful I could take my life

Because for help instead of Jesus I went to the knife
