Bad night sleep.
Luke was playing his new game he bought when we went out yesterday.
I got into bed and found it easy to fall asleep, but because Luke was plying his game, I kept getting woken. Our TV in our room is big, so when it gets bright, it would sometimes wake me. Plus it was loud. I asked him to turn it down, he was getting annoyed though.
So it wasn't a very good sleep at all. I got woken so many times.
Yesterday Luke and I went out with Mum. She got her hair cut and coloured. It looks good, I like the colour, but I think it's a bit short, but oh well hair grows!

Totally chocolate, chocolate chip cookies.

Photograph by Lis Parsons
125g dark chocolate, minimum 70% cocoa solids
150g flour
30g cocoa, sieved
1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
125g soft butter
75g light brown sugar
50g white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg, cold from the fridge
350g (2 bags) semi-sweet chocolate morsels or dark chocolate chips
Serving Size : Makes 12
METHOD
- Preheat the oven to 170°C/gas mark 3. Melt the 125g dark chocolate either in the microwave or in a heatproof dish over a pan of simmering water.
- Put the flour, cocoa, bicarbonate of soda and salt into a bowl.
- Cream the butter and sugars in another bowl. (I use my freestanding mixer, itself an odd source of comfort to me.) Add the melted chocolate and mix together.
- Beat in the vanilla extract and cold egg, and then mix in the dry ingredients. Finally stir in the chocolate morsels or chips.
- Scoop out 12 equal-sized mounds – an ice cream scoop and a palette knife are the best tools for the job – and place on a lined baking sheet about 6cm apart. Do not flatten them.
- Cook for 18 minutes, testing with a cake tester to make sure it comes out semi-clean and not wet with cake batter. If you pierce a chocolate chip, try again.
- Leave to cool slightly on the baking sheet for 4–5 minutes, then transfer them to a cooling rack to harden as they cool.
Unsticky.

My day at Bruny island.
Today I had lunch at Bruny island, with Luke and his Nanna for Luke's birthday.
My alarm went off at 9am, but I was somehow awake before it went off.
I grabbed some clothes, brushed my teeth, washed my hair, got dressed and my Dad took me into town at 10:30am.
We waited in town for about 10 minutes before Luke's Nan met us. She bought her dog Sheeba along for the ride.
We drove from town, to Kettering (I think that's what its called) along the way seeing a lot of beauty of Tasmania. We also drove past some cows and sheep. :)
We got the where we catch the ferry. We had to wait a little while, so we went into the shop. Luke bought be a 150g packet of fresh raspberries for $6.50. They were so delicious! They taste so much better fresh!
We looked around outside a little I took a photo or two, then the ferry arrived, so we got back in the car.

We got onto the ferry, we were on top, so when it had taken off Luke and I got out and watched the water, and other scenery as we went to Bruny island. I took some photos, it was beautiful. And cold, I had forgotten my jacket though! But it was an experience I didn't want to spend sitting in the car!

And in about 15 minutes, we were on Bruny Island.
Bruny Island is such a beautiful place, it has a lot of trees, and is quite bush like.
We drove down a road, and then down a dirt road. We stopped by the Studio Luke's Nan owns. Its quite small, but big enough for 2 people to live it. It was very nice in there.

There's a porch type area at the end of the house that has a lake underneath it. The water was brown, but that didn't stop Sheeba from jumping right in!

The bathroom there has 3 walls and a window. The window is the 4th wall. They have curtains so you can have privacy! But if they were open, (not that anyone else is very close) people could see right in! Luke said its beautiful to shower at night, as the moonlight comes in through the window, and the shower is good as it's rainwater.
We ended going on a very mini hike (ok, just a small walk really) down a small path to a beach area where they have some chairs, and a little place for a fire to set up. They also have a little row boat. Oh, did I mention I was wearing High Heel boots? It was kind of hard walking down!
When we were walking down the path Luke found a small, single flower growing. It was purple. I took a photo of it.
Oh, also one of the neighbours dog (Dodge) was also following us around. We threw some sticks for them to catch.

We walked back up which was easier than going down. And got back in the car. Luke sat in the back this time since Sheeba was wet, and I didn't want to get wet!

We went to the resturaunt called Bish. We got there around 2pm. We ordered our food, but it took so long to come! Good thing I had the raspberries earlier to keep me going!
I ordered the smoked salmon, spinach, and fetta pizza. It was nice! I also had a glass of bubbly, but don't really like wine or champagne so I ended up giving it to Luke. I just drank water the rest of the lunch.

Luke's Nan (Margret) ordered a pizza too, but a different one. (And by pizza, I mean small enough for just one person). Luke had a chicken fillet burger, with chips on the side.

There was also 2 guys with guitars playing some nice background music. It was a very nice atmosphere.
After we were done with lunch Luke and I had a slice of raspberry cheesecake. It was ok.

After we had finished eating we drove back to the ferry, and were lucky enough to get on straight away.
This time we were in the bottom. We stayed in the car this time.
The sun was shining in on me on the drive home. I was quite tired, I think I may have even fallen asleep once or twice.
We got home around 4pm. And after the big day I ended up falling asleep at 6pm! Although I woke up at around 1/4 to 10pm and decided to check some things online, on my phone. And now its 11:24pm and I'm writing this.
It was such an amazing experience, I had such a wonderful day. It was just what I needed! It was almost like a mini holiday!
I most certainly look forward to going again, when ever that may be!
Well, I think its time for me to try and go back to sleep now. Goodnight! xo

Christmas is coming.
Christmas is so close! Only 8 days away! I love Christmas, this year on Christmas Eve I'll be having lunch with my Mum. And for Christmas day I'll be going to my Aunties (on my dad's side) place. I love it at my Aunties, I think this year my Mum is also coming, so I'll have all my sisters and both parents there! Also, my boyfriend, my sisters boyfriend, and my ex-step brother will be going.

Dreaming of Sean.
Last night I went through a lot of old old blog enrties on my myspace blog.
The blogs start from 2006, when I was with Daniel. I blogged about him when we broke up, all heart broken and stuff. And talked about other guys I liked and had crushes on.
One of the guys I liked was a guy named Sean. We met online through other people. I had a crush on him but never told him. I wasn’t after a boyfriend. But I used to flirt with him a lot. And I may be wrong but I’m pretty sure he flirted with me too.
I loved talking to him online, he made me smile, and it was nothing more than innocent flirting. No complicated feelings getting in the way.
Then one day he got a girlfriend. And he just stopped talking to me. It sucked.
I wonder if his girlfriend wanted him to stop talking to me, or if he kinda new I liked him and just wanted to stop talking to me. I’ll never know. Maybe he just didn’t want to be my friend anymore, and it was just a coincidence that he got a girlfriend at the time. Maybe he got too busy. Who knows.
Anyway last night I fell asleep with all these memories going around my head. And I ended up dreaming of Sean. I can’t remember much, but we were together.
Maybe I should try and get in contact with him again…

Did Taylor Swift steal from Saving Jane?
Once I found them I noticed they sound very similar to "You belong with Me" by Taylor Swift.
When I showed my boyfried this he just said (something along the lines of) "The subject matter of the song is very popular/cliché for a teenage girl."
I decided to look up the song on youtube so I could actually hear it in english, and it seems people thought the same as me, for a lot of the comments mentioned the similarities to "You belong with me".
I also did a google search "taylor swift copies saving jane" and a few things came up, mainly people asking questions about it on Yahoo answers. Also another person blogged about it which you can view here.
I'll show you some of the lyrics to both of the songs.
Saving Jane, Girl Next Door.
"She is the prom queen I'm in the marching band
She is a cheerleader I'm sitting in the stands"
Taylor Swift, You Belong with Me.
"But she wears short skirts, I wear t-shirts
She's cheer captain and I'm on the bleachers"
So, I'm not saving Taylor did STEAL the lyrics, but they are awfully similar. If I was the one who wrote "Girl Next Door" and heard the lyrics for "You belong with me" I sure wouldn't be happy with how similar it was to my song.
But like my boyfriend said, it is a very typical teenage girl clichéd thing isn't it?
Also, Taylor has a song called "I'd Lie" And the chorus tune is the same as the chorus in "Girl Next Door"!
Here's Saving Jane's "Girl next Door".
Here's "I'd Lie"
Has Taylor stolen from a lesser known band? Or do you think it's just a coincidence?
I'm starting to think it's too much of a coincidence...

Prayer of Repentance.
We know your Word says, "Woe to those who call evil good," but that's exactly what we've done.
We confess that we have ridiculed the absolute truth of your Word and called it moral pluralism.
We have worshipped other gods and called it multiculturalism.
We have endorsed perversion and called it an alternative lifestyle.
We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery.
We have neglected the needy and called it self-preservation.
We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.
We have killed our unborn and called it choice.
We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable.
We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building esteem.
We have abused power and called it political savvy.
We have coveted our neighbors' possessions and called it ambition.
We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression.
We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.
Search us O God and know our hearts today; try us and see if there be some wicked way in us; cleanse us from every sin and set us free.
Guide and bless these men and women who have been sent here by the people of Kansas, and who have been ordained by you, to govern this great state.
Grant them your wisdom to rule and may their decisions direct us to the center of your will. I ask it in the name of your son, the living savior, Jesus Christ.
Amen.
